It's all about connection.

I’ve always been interested in photography. From as far back as I can remember, I was taking pictures of my friends, pets and family members, using those disposable point and shoot cameras you could get at the drug store. Remember that delicious anticipation of waiting to get your film developed? It felt like an eternity.

My photography journey has continued. I’ve taken my camera around the world, to Europe, India and throughout the Americas. I’ve documented my adventures abroad and at home here on the glorious Olympic Peninsula. Wherever I’ve gone, a common thread unites my pictures: people and their connections.

My inspiration comes from authentic and organic interactions: between a newborn and their parent, or two lovers, or a gaggle of siblings. I create images that showcase real human connection.

It’s vulnerable to get in front of a camera, and I don’t take that vulnerability lightly. My past clients can attest that I cultivate ease and connection, allowing you to relax and be yourself, resulting in natural, beautifully human portraits.

More about me.

I grew up in Port Townsend, WA, and live here still, along with my husband and daughter. I am a part time nurse at our small, local hospital; it’s a huge honor to care for my community in this work. I appreciate giving back to my community and I do some volunteer photography for local organizations like Olympic Angels and our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.

I love spending time with my family, cooking and eating delicious meals, growing food together in our garden, making music, singing and dancing, and adventuring in the mountains.

Thanks to Jen Lee Light and Bonnie Obremski for the photos on this page.
